Who We Are?

Healthcare Facility ImageFCNSI is a staffing registry that provides contracted healthcare facilities with supplemental staffing services in the Bay Area. We employ nurses and other healthcare personnel in response and anticipation of our clients needs.

Founded in 1988 by Franklin and Celina Camillo, FCNSI takes pride in having grown through the past 20 years from a small single-office operation to an organization that consists of five franchises working in several counties in Northern California. FCNSI has built a solid reputation of integrity, high quality standards, and accessibility among our clients and employees.

I. Mission Statement:

Our mission is to bring the highest standards of patient care delivered by our top notch staff with cost-effectiveness to healthcare. In order to achieve this, we are committed to:

  1. Provide professional, dedicated, and compassionate health personnel to our clients in the healthcare facility and home health environments while maintaining cost effectiveness
  2. Provide a work environment that upholds the highest ethical, professional, and legal standards, as well as promotes fairness, growth, and respect among all employees.

II. Objectives:

  1. To promote positive, friendly interaction with both the hospitals or facilities and or staff, to bring out the best possible on-going level of family atmosphere.
  2. To promote healthy behavior patterns of our staff through proper employer / employee relation to build excellent attitude towards temporary work assignment.
  3. To provide quality care to patients of facilities / hospitals on as needed basis, whose condition are such that they require assistance in their facility, under the care of physician.
  4. To provide policies, procedures, and a system of staff communication that ensures coordinated staffing techniques and the appropriate utilization of agency services.
  5. To assure that the agency and its staff are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations (Federal INS, JCAHO, CA title 22, OSHA).
  6. To promote high standards of ethical and professional practice and conduct in client / patient service.
  7. To work on a collaborative basis with the facility in order to provide the best service.

III. Philosophy:

First Call Nursing Services, Inc. believes in the value of our staff employees and their contributions in any way in helping the company achieve its overall mission.

First Call Nursing Services, Inc. believes in providing excellent quality supplement staffing services for a competitive rate of compensation that emphasizes not only the well-being of both the facility and the staff, but restoring the personalized services missing from many huge agencies. We strongly feel that with proper setting of priorities, we could advocate our family oriented virtue.

IV. Goals:

  1. First Call Nursing Services, Inc. will respond to the needs of our clients by taking an active role in the provision of quality staffing services by accessing all necessary temporary staffing services to meet its needs.
  2. First Call Nursing Services, Inc. client population will receive quality comprehensive temporary staffing services that is cost effective by employing the most experienced, qualified, competent and professional staff.
  3. We plan on utilization of personally designed, conservative communication and data processing to better, and more rapidly serve the client, and our staff. It should also allow us to operate more efficiently and economically, reducing overhead, and therefore reducing our administrative rates.
  4. The temporary staffing staff provide services and care to our clients in a respectful, effective and compassionate manner through application of their professional skills and expertise.
  5. The company, with 20 years of tract experience having adequate resources and financial strength will achieve its goals and retain the flexibility to respond in timely manner to the changing needs of its markets.

First Call Nursing Services, Inc. is comprised of 4 divisions:

  1. Temporary Nursing Registry First Call provides staff relief, short and long term per-diem contracts and to our clients.
  2. Traveling Service - In 2000, with continued support of all our current contracted hospitals, the Travel Division of First Call was launched.
  3. The International Recruitment Service- In today's nursing shortage crunch, First Call's alternative strategy is to sponsor experienced foreign graduate RNs. Currently First Call is actively recruiting foreign graduate RNs with minimum of 5 years of experience in the acute environment.
